HENRY HANSEN

Henry is the Senior Pastor at Bidwell Presbyterian Church. He grew up in Petaluma, CA though his education pulled him eastward first to the University of Arizona for his bachelor’s degree then to New Jersey for his Master of Divinity at Princeton Seminary. His first pastorate was as an associate at First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood. Henry returned to California when he served as an associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame at which time he also earned his doctorate. In addition to serving as pastor, Henry is a jail minister, is chair of the Ambassadors for Reconciliation ARM (jail ministry) board, and is a certified spiritual director with a private practice. One of Henry’s joys in ministry is seeing how people make the connections between their faith, gifting, and service to God. He’s also passionate about helping people engage in missions.

 

Henry and his wife Jenna have three children. Henry is an ardent fan of the San Francisco Giants, 49ers, and Golden State Warriors. He especially enjoys reading books by David Brooks, Tim Keller, NT Wright, and books about American history. He enjoys playing guitar and piano. Henry is on a constant search for the world’s best Chicago-style Pizza.
